One of the main purposes in the original alchemy was, with the combination of various elements of chemistry, anthropology, Astrology, Magic, Philosophy, Mathematics and Metallurgy in order to obtain the transmutation of metals inferios in noble metals like gold.
The idea of the transformation of base metals into gold, can be a metaphor for change of consciousness. The poor metal would be the "ignorant" mind that is transformed into "gold", the Wisdom.
In digital alchemy I look with the combination of various artistic elements, photography, drawing, painting and informatics, transform, basic or incomplete elements, in a noble and complete result, that is the result of the combination of these various arts.
